Video of Panel about Social Platforms at RealBranding Social Media Summit

I was in a good panel this week at the Digital Leadership Summit on Social Media: Dave McClure played the role of Facebook’s Dave Morin, Jason Shellen moderated the panel and asked me questions about future Google products as if he did not follow the same Google Speaker training as myself a few years ago (Jason left Google last year).
Neal Sample from Yahoo had some very interesting things to say about what’s missing from the platforms (OpenSocial and Facebook) from an advertising point of view.
They taped the panel, here it is:

Patrick,
Thanks so much for being on the panel. It was great to have Google represented to this group. The panel was lively thanks to Dave McClure being as lively as he is.
You guys all shared great information and the feedback from the attendees was great.
Thanks again!

p.s. I think friend connect has big implications and we are excited to see how that rolls forward to add a social layer to the net in an easy way.

that was a fun panel, however I did my best to present an indepenedent, unaligned perspective rather than a facebook-only view. I don’t work for FB, and more important I’m nowhere near as good-looking as Dave “Blue Steel” Morin.

Aw c’mon, what good is being x-Google if I can’t try and pry something out of you? 😉
Thanks for being a good sport Patrick.
